Flowered Satin Mary Jane Shoes with William Morris Arbutus Pattern
These satin-finish buckle mary jane flats sport an all over pattern called Arbutus from the studio of Victorian designer and polymath William Morris. This stunning pattern was designed after Morris’s death by Kathleen Kersey, a member of Morris & Co in 1914, just before the outbreak of WWI. You can see in it both Morris’s influence and the shapes of the new aesthetic trends coming in with the new century.
- satin upper with reenforced welt for durability
- foam insole
- very lightweight and breathable
- rubber soles
These flats come in US women’s sizes.

I created the Keep Salem Odd William Morris Footwear collection because Mr Morris has been a major inspiration for me, as a designer, artist, thinker, activist, community-builder and fine soul. And also, because I want all of these shoes for myself! While these Morris designs are now in the public domain, this collection of footwear is unique to Keep Salem Odd, so rest assured, your feet will stand out, as feet should. Enjoy.
