These combat boots sport an all over pattern called Buckthorn, art directed by Victorian designer and polymath William Morris. It was actually drafted and executed by John Henry Dearle who worked at Morris & Co and who was a fabulous artist in his own right. This pattern is based with several under layers of deep dark greens leading to springy pops of colors in the tulips and other flowers and leaves in the forward layers.

Backstory
I created the Keep Salem Odd William Morris Footwear collection because Mr Morris has been a major inspiration for me, as a designer, artist, thinker, activist, community-builder and fine soul. And also, because I want all of these shoes for myself! While these Morris designs are now in the public domain, this collection of footwear is unique to Keep Salem Odd, so rest assured, your feet will stand out, as feet should. Enjoy.
