I mean stodgy in the American English sense. It's been a dependable byword for me over the years. I don't get the thing most people call "fun". I'm fun, sure, but I don't think dancing at weddings to "We are Family" is fun. Library booksales on the other hand... that is fun. Yeah. Stodgy.
